It's finally alive again!

I had a nightmare last night about a stalker who kept following siyun (sorry to drag you into this… hahaha) and I around Cold storage while we shopped for tibits. (why not Zara?). In terror, we were fleeing from one shop to another restaurant and all the while, he was grabbing my shoulders and my back, trying to drag me away while we kept trying to blend into crowds. I think he shot one security guard down in the midst too. It was horrifying and I woke up at 5 plus disoriented.

OK loh, so having a criminal minds marathon at night is bad for health. I can’t helped it.. Dr Reid is too helplessly cute. PLUS! I prefer to think that I am watching them because I can’t sleep and not the other way around. I am so hooked! Rena! Season two is almost coming to an end already… are you watching it already?

The month of July is going to be a lonely month. Melissa will be going back next week … and Grace will be leaving on a mission trip as well. Siyun is going for a branded bags shopping trip cultural exchange program (or so she says) to Japan. What an enriching experience! I am sure she will learn much… hopefully not just the interior of the burberry store..BRING ME THERE TOO!

I miss them ALREADY!

These two weeks was a crazy flurry of meeting-ups with them. OH~! Do you know zara sales are already upon us and Mango sales are already a week old? If you are waiting for news from my blog.. well. Sorry! I got there right on time yo! Heh heh

Its like the only time when I stock up on my new school term clothes (hopefully the last school term! Please!) so siyun and I was waiting for it with bated breath. Yeah! Argh! Thinking about it makes me feel like going again.

Oh right!

I finally met up with Melissa for a meal yesterday . Company was definitely good. Together with us, there were Watson, Yanni and Walter. Grace couldn’t join us but there is still Monday… can’t wait for that. I love spontaneity! The group wasn’t supposed to be so big but I am so glad it did. Anywhere with Yanni and Watson, you know something unexpected is going to happen. Like tissues caught on fire, cups with water turned over, walking in the rain with weird hats. May many such random events happen more and more.

There she is!
She is my best friend since primary school and is always the one who keeps in touch when I am tardy with my replies. Basically one of the few that can stand me, I am so thankful for her really. She gives you the kind of feeling that no matter how shitty your situation may be, she will always be there for you. I will definitely go over and visit you one day mel. That’s a promise. More likely later though. Unless, like I told you, hahaha you get married soon. Yeah! If its at a castle, even better!

Sorry but lighting makes it looks bad. I shall upload better ones when I get it.

Taking pictures of our food is a sign that our standard of living has gotten higher.

We ate at here. They offer 2 types of curry, a regular one that isn’t spicy at all for the chicken-hearted ones like me and a spicy one which may disappoint the diehard curry eaters. I like them both though cause Japanese curries are known to be not so spicy.

The forgettable Potato salad. Ikea one is better even. I have eaten better ones but then all potato salads taste similar

Seafood curry. I like how the prawns are big and I love scallops. However, I prefer those that allow the prawns to cook for a while in the curry to absorb the sauce.

Vegetable with chicken curry. Not the best curry around but I like the different colours when it was served and the curry base. After eating it though, you realise its not that special. Kinda like my mum can cook also leh… and much nicer somemore. Oops

Both walter and I enjoyed this though, pity the fish was not a lot and it was shared among 5 of us. I like how the cheese oozes out from within the fish fillet. Yummy! I will go back just for this dish. And the thoughtful separation of the curry sauce from the fried fish. I hate it when they drench fried food with soup, it defeats the purpose of frying it in the first place ya?

And the desserts! Oh how nice!

Death by chocolate. Yanni was so hooked by the name. its really a chocolate lover’s heaven. But thankfully its not a chocolate overload with the vanilla ice cream. I don’t like to take too much of chocolate but I like how the brownie is served warm and the softness of the chocolate cake. Yum!

Apple pie a la mode. I like it when a restaurant serves apple pie… and with ice cream somemore. Oh! But foster’s still the best. Sorry. This is more like an apple crumble. Mel thought it was a tad too sweet

Basically we ordered just enough to go around so we get to try more dishes.
I feel that the serving is big because of the rice and the gravy but when u just focus on the main ingredients, its not that much.

Yanni! having her around is never dull :)

Watson! i cannot look at you and not think of the hat that you made and wore around.

After dinner, we pop on by to esplanade and then later to Fullerton Hotel to explore. Fullerton has really nice toilets and their kois in the “pond” at the basement are really friendly. You just have to stand near the edge and the whole swarm of them comes to you.

Its hard not to have morbid thoughts. I find it intriguing how they willingly trust their natural predators (potential only) just because we feed them? Do you consider this naivety? Or maybe I have too much coffee ?

I now know why girls want to get married in here. (got two packages to choose from leh!) Sorry for the lack of pictures. But the reception area is really beautiful with fresh rose petals sprinkled on glass table tops. There is a baby grand in the middle of the room and all it lacks is some dry ice and it will look quite magical. Oops. You might also need a dreamy pianist to go along. Nice!

It may be wrong but we “kaypohed” around and read the floor plan of the ballroom. Apparently there is a stage for a harpist.. Harpist! not the cute cupid kinds, rather, the long-haired elven maiden-kind. So dreamy! Definitely the wife’s idea.

Dear, I want the harpist to be here *points to the side of the stage

But darling, don’t you think a band, like a ROCK band will be cooler? Say, I have a friend that knows this guy in a band. We definitely can bring him down much easier than….erm… *makes mistake to glance at wife-to-be with the you’re so going to sleep on the hotel couch on the wedding night look* … SO harpist you say? What’s her number again? I will get _insert bestman’s name_ to call her asap.. no worries dear.. anything for you!”

oh baby! I know you will understand! Muacks! So, do you think lilac or purple ribbons go with the bridemaids dresses better?”

Congratulations to the wedded couple. I am sure the guy must have spent quite a bit but I am sure its all worth it. One day, when she is really pissed with you, you can tactfully remind her of the wedding dinner (not forgetting the sacrifice for the harpist) and she might forgive you a little quicker. Together with that new Gucci bag and the 99 roses bouquet and surprise ticket to Paris. Oh! How magnificent!

Ahem. But I would rather a jazz band. Mmmm..

To end off on a beautiful note, may we all have sweet dreams tonight!

Finally! An entry! No I havent seen season two yet! dont spoil it for me! Haha. i have no time to watch on television and I disapprove of downloading. >:| Anyway.. You know that Fish & Co serves New York Fish and Chips? Its not the normal dish and chips. It has added cheese in the centre of the fish and it melts inside. Tho prolly not as much cheese as the fish you mentioned. This dish is normally not on the menu so you gotta ask for it. It's 1 buck more than the normal fish and chips. haha! Try to eat from town.. cos the jurong point one isnt very good.. Haha. Anyway your pics are really really cruel!!! I cant eat a single thing!!! ARGH!
Lol. Cya soon
