HAPPY new POST
just to give you a hint of the ups and downs of teaching tuition.
i shall start with the "ups" . cos i think there might not be an end to the "downs"
yahahaha.. just kidding
this is techinically not an "up" but just something interesting.
just today.. hahahaha.. ahem a little embarrassing to say it here .. this being a clean blog and all.
today i had an early lesson at bukit batok. my tutee moved again (for like the zillion time) so i followed cos i am loyal and nice and i had a straight bus there. the bus ride there takes half an hour at least but the ride is enjoyable and i look forward to it actually . the bus not being crowded as it is a weekend morning and most of time we are passing through private housing estates. who knows. might have cute rich guy YAHAHAHAAH!
but cute rich guy don't take public transport whoh.
hm. car cannot break down is it?
anyway. thats not the point.
so today at 11 plus a.m (please note the time.. very important in this context ) .. i was teaching at my tutee place. hard at work . while i subconsicously begin to register that there is this incessant sound going on somewhere outside. but then again. the walls of singapore flats are really thin so you got to learn how to filter most sounds out.
its like this "aaaah ahhh aaahh ahhh "
i thought it might be some tv lame shows.
or some kid getting whacked.
then when i finished telling my tutee what to do and she settled down to do her work while i started marking, did i realise what sound it was. loud and clear.
"aaaah aaahhha aaahh AAAAAHHH AAAAHH AAAAAHHHH "
seriously i was so embarrassed i almost burst out laughing. i sneaked a peek at my tutee and i think she squirmed a little in her chair but i might have imagined that.
now thinking of it. i think i better rechecked the page i marked again next lesson.
after that .. there was another neighbour doing the remix featuring a burp, a cough and a shout in one breath..
"you have very interesting neighbours."
"hee hee.. "
"are they always like that .. erm noisy?"
"erm.. not really .. sometimes only"
right.
guess i will never know .
